Pakistan: 18 injured in attack on Peshawar Mosque

Peshawar: At least 18 people, including three seminary students were injured in an attack on a mosque in the Thakal Bala area of Peshawar today.Superintendent Police Cantonment Peshawar Kashif said that students, teachers and worshipers were having dinner at the Baitul Mukarram on the completion of seminary course (dars Quraan), when some unidentified assailants lobed hand grenades and opened fire on them. Locals also retaliated and injured one of the attackers and arrested him, while the rest of the attackers fled in a car. The injured were shifted to Khyber Teaching Hospital and Leady Reading Hospital for treatment. The police have registered a case and started investigating the arrested suspect.
